‘Under the sky of Tenerife’, another timelapse that shows that the Canary Islands are an ideal place to see the sky

If you are fond of night photography, you surely know that it is not easy to find free skies of the problem of light pollution and one of those ideal places is the Canary Islands. Well, in one of them Adrien Mauduit has created this video timelapse so that we can recreate with the beauty of Tenerife and, especially, of the skies that can be contemplated from there.

‘Under the sky of Tenerife’ narrates in a fictitious way what would be a full day in this place, beginning by showing us a beautiful sunrise over a sea of ​​clouds and continuing with panoramic views of some of the most interesting natural areas, both in the south and in the north of the island. Finally it focuses on the interior, where the Teide and its canyons are located, and from where the sunset shows us. That lasts a minute and a half approximately (accelerated, of course), to give way to the night when the stars begin to take center stage.

Thus, the sky gradually becomes an infinite succession of celestial bodies captured from various points on the island and where not only can enjoy the Milky Way but also other constellations such as Sirius and Orion with their corresponding nebulae. A lot of them can be seen in the movie (if you are fond of astronomy you have the information in the description of the video), which is quite a sight for the view in 4K format.

The person in charge of everything is, as we have already said, Adrien Mauduit, a French photographer and filmmaker based in Denmark, which is not the first time we have spoken. In fact, when we showed you ‘Galaxies Vol1’, we already talked about him as an artist who seeks to create a high level “astro-timelapse”.

  The best distance to become a selfi

This in particular took nine days of work (with days from four in the afternoon to eight in the morning) to take the approximately 20,000 images that compose it. Photographs captured, by the way, with a Canon EOS 6D with the modified infrared filter, plus a Sony A7S and an A7R II and a good number of lenses that covered between 14 and 300 mm. No doubt a good job.
