The 50 best universities in Latin America in 2018

Higher education centers in Brazil lead with great advantage the ranking of the best universities in Latin America, prepared by the British magazine Times Higher Education (THE).

According to the index corresponding to 2018, made public yesterday, in the list of 129 study centers there are 43 Brazilians.

For its part, Peru achieved its best result in the annual ranking this year: three institutions represented and one of them among the first 20. The other two are debutants in the index.

Times Higher Education evaluates universities according to 13 indicators grouped in several areas: teaching (the educational environment), research (quantity, income and reputation), citations in academic publications (influence of research), international reach (team, students and research) and income of the business sector (knowledge transfer).

The universities participate voluntarily in the study, delivering the data that is required and certified by an independent company.
