AMC’s flat rate allows its customers to watch three movies a week for $ 19.99. On paper it is a step back from Moviepass, but you have to look at the details to see what can be more interesting for many. For now, AMC allows you to watch the three movies on the same day, see them in formats such as IMAX, Dolby Cinema and RealD 3D when with Moviepass there is only the option of 2D and also allows users to book tickets in advance.

For now, AMC is offering this flat rate to its customers attached to the AMC Stubs loyalty program, I imagine a way to test it before expanding it to the rest of the public. In his favor also has the fact of being the owners of the cinemas and have not hesitated to point out that it is a sustainable proposal. They have had time to evaluate the impact of Moviepass and adjust it to their possibilities.
