Alcatel 1, the cheapest Android Go comes to Spain

Android Go is a Google initiative focused on smartphones with very basic features. The idea is to offer a version of Android with lighter applications that can work well even if we have only 1 GB of RAM and basic processors.

There are several brands that have signed up for this program and Alcatel is one of them. They already showed us the Alcatel 1X at the Mobile World Congress and now the family grows with the Alcatel 1, an even simpler mobile and a tighter price if it fits, so much that it is the cheapest Android Go.

A price as tight as your specifications

The Alcatel 1 is one of the most basic smartphones that we can find nowadays. Among its specifications we have a 5-inch screen with FWVGA resolution, characteristics that sound to another era, although the 18: 9 format brings us back to the present. It also has a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front 2 megapixels. It is clear that the Alcatel 1 is not a mobile phone for photography lovers.

Inside, moving the whole set we have a Mediatek MT6739 accompanied by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal capacity, expandable with MicroSD 32 GB ( thank goodness). We closed the round of technical features with the battery, 2,000 mAh, a figure that sounds very fair although seeing the technical level should offer a balanced autonomy.

And what does this mobile cost? As we have already advanced, the Alcatel 1 is the cheapest Android Go of all available in Spain. Specifically costs 69.99 euros, a very tight price that is in line with its benefits. The Alcatel 1 is a perfect mobile as a second terminal or for people who want to use WhatsApp and little else. It will be available from next July 19.
