Google launched the free Datally app in 2017 and, according to the company run by Sundar Pichai, has had good results all over the world.
This app helps you control, save and better understand the use of mobile data, with the sole purpose that your operator does not have to charge extra money every month.
Below, we show you four new ways in which you can use Datally on your mobile with Android operating system:
1. Guest Mode. Everyone, ever, we have lent our cell phone to a family member or friend, and it turns out that he used more data than we expected. To avoid this, activate the Guest mode and set only a certain amount of data that someone else can use.
2. Set a daily limit. If you are addicted to using the Internet on the way to school or work, with the daily limit mode , you can set the maximum amount of data you want to spend per day (it alerts you when you are approaching).
3. Apps not used. The Unused Applications option shows you the apps that you do not use on your phone, but that are occupying data. According to Google, 20% of mobile data is spent by applications that run in the background, although you have not opened them in more than a month.
4. WiFi Map. This is a great feature, as it shows all the Wi-Fi networks nearby and the best quality. However, it is advisable not to use public networks, or do not do “sensitive” tasks in a public network, such as a bank transaction or a purchase with your credit card.
The company claims that the average user of Datally has saved 21% of their mobile data, which is equivalent to using the data from Monday to Thursday and having the Friday covered by the app.
All these features are now available for everyone, and you can download the app here.
