The world of the SUV does not stop spinning, and every turn generates a new element to enrich your universe. This time it is Ford who puts the novelty, because it brings to Chile the EcoSport Storm, model with integral traction intelligent and automatic transmission.
In terms of design, the vehicle seeks to be related to a rough image, which is evidenced by the incorporation of a grille directly inherited from the F 150 Raptor, with the word Storm firmly drawn to the center. 17 “alloy wheels, black hood lines and wheel arch moldings complement the style statement.
Motorization and traction
The Ford EcoSport Storm has a 2.0L Duratec GDI four-cylinder engine, with 168 HP and 202 Nm of torque, with 6-speed automatic transmission that features changes to the steering wheel, to emphasize the sportiness of driving. It has an Electronic Assisted Direction (EPAS), which according to the manufacturer’s data reduces the vibration level in the steering wheel by 40% thanks to its new and improved calibration; and also improves the absorption of impacts by 15%.
The integral traction system does not require the intervention of the driver, since it has an intelligent mode of torque management that distributes it in a differentiated way to each wheel, according to the information that a series of sensors collects about the state of the road.
This model has seven airbags, stability control with anti-roll system and tire pressure monitoring. In terms of comfort, it has a SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch capacitive screen, premium sound from Sony with nine speakers, luggage compartment with intelligent luggage system, electric sunroof, LED daytime running lights and a power button, as well as a camera and Reverse sensor.
The Ford EcoSport Storm has a retail price of CLP $ 15,990,000.
