Undoubtedly, 2018 will be characterized by the different advances in the world of mobile photography. Terminals like the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus or the Huawei P20 Pro have been a revolution in photographic quality. ? Another aspect that this year will be remembered for is one of the features implemented by Huawei’s flagship: the triple camera. Now the main person in charge of DXoMark, the well-known mobile photography test website predicts that we will see more phones with three cameras in 2019.
These new models next year not only come from Huawei, but also from other brands such as Samsung, LG and even OnePlus, being possible to implement in the Samsung Galaxy S10 , LG G8 or OnePlus 7.
The mobiles with three cameras will arrive from 2019 according to DXoMark
It seems that the trend of dual-camera smartphones is more booming than ever. Most current smartphones have two cameras, and few are those that today have a single sensor. A recent interview to the website of DXoMark predicts that almost all 2019 high-end smartphones will have several more sensors in the back.
According to the head of marketing at DXoMark, Nicolas Touchard, most high-end smartphones of 2019 will carry three cameras. This is due to the physical impossibility of manufacturing sensors with larger size due, mainly, to the very small thickness of current smartphones. The implementation of a third sensor would not only help to fill the shortcomings of the other two sensors, but would also allow taking pictures with much better quality than the current ones. As if this were not enough, Nicolas also predicts the arrival of smartphones with up to four cameras in the back, something never seen to date.
Recall that several rumors pointed to the Samsung Galaxy S10 would have three cameras. This would confirm the imposition of the triple camera in the high-end of 2019, although it is still early to give these claims as true. What is undoubtedly a fact is that if this were the case, the current mobile photography would make a jump in quality, the less interesting. We will have to wait until next year to see if this is the case.
